City of Ember Response

1:What do you think will happen next?

A: I am predicting that Doon will find out what's wrong with the generator.

2:What is the major theme of the book so far?

A:I think the theme is making up, because Doon and Lina have become friends again.

3:How does this relate to your life? What are some connections to today?

A:It relates to my life because not always people get what they want.Like Doon, when he didn't get the job he wanted and like when I dont get things that I want.

4: How do you like the characters so far?

A:I like the characters because they relate to my adventurous friends.

5:What are 2 quotes that you like? What do you think they mean?

A:
1 The quote 'They must not leave the city for at least 2 hundred years' it means to me that something bad might happen after 2 hundred years.
2:the quote ' I need to see the generator...i have ideas' it means to me that Doon wants to fix the generator, and save the City of Ember.

6:Why is this book significant? What dose this book teach us about our self?

A:That if you don't get what you want, if you wait something good might happen.

7:If you can change 1 part that of the book what would it be and why.

a:I would change the part were they have to get jobs at the age 12. I would have changed it to 15. Because I think there making kids work to early.
